Yes, other than the RF shutoff box our car meets NHRA ProMod safety & performance rules and so do any other ProMods in this part of the West & Canada that have run West Coast Pro Mod Association. That is because that organization uses NHRA ProMod rules. That aside, what was proposed for SCSN was Advanced ET safety rules because any Top Sportsman or faster car already has or should have that safety equipment. Therefore the proposed safety rules should be a non issue for everyone.
Correct me if I'm wrong but most agree the NHRA performance rules have brought parity among the 3 power adders as close as it's ever been which is what it's about. The proposed light weight 2225 for some nitrous cars is unobtainable by 99% of the cars. NHRA weight for nitrous is 2425 which a majority of the cars can make or be close to. This isn't about whether it's NHRA, IHRA, ADRL, or whatever, that's NOT the point. The point is it's a basic set of rules that's been proven to work that brings parity without a million exceptions for this or that.
There is no negativity whatsoever but there also is no set of rules that doesn't exclude some people no matter what they are. You can't make everyone happy all the time. I believe the statement Yvonne made if I remember correctly was that in her opinion "no rules" is not good for racing in the long term which I agree and so does the majority. There's no hidden agendas. Like she said, there's a lot more to the story than it appears that doesn't need to be aired publicly, so don't jump to any opinions or conclusions. The bottom line is we all want to have places to race with competitive racing, so we hope SCSN is as much or more a success than it has been in the past.

Only NHRA Follow NHRA Rules... ADRL does not limit Turbo Boost
We are having this class, full rules and weights will be released on Tuesday and it will be a very competitive class for ALL COMBO'S!!!! Glad to see it could be worked out and moving forward in spite of some differences in opinions.

There's a big difference between turbo's at 1/8th mile (ADRL) and 1/4 mile. I don't think anyone can disagree with that.

Joe Lepone (336)253-0092 So 2 nitrous cars (Joe Lepone and Yvonne Lucas) will not support this race cuz mel wants to let small blocks in and help out lower budget teams? Lamest excuse i've ever heard in all my years of drag racing. All the sb cars in question haven't/cant run with any current top nhra pro mod teams, most not even 2-3 tenths so what gives?

You are twisting this into something that is so far off the reality scale it's ridiculous. You know nothing of the underlying facts so please don't try to make this a public personal attack on people. It had nothing even close to do with cars performance levels, or comparing against NHRA ProMod teams. FYI Yvonne has worked hard for over over two months promoting and supporting this class in many ways, so don't try to make it sound like she's against it. or anyone. You won't find anyone that works harder at promoting racing in many different ways & levels for many years. Joe did his fair share as well at gaining support. Just because people don't agree on all the rules doesn't mean they are any less passionate about supporting or promoting good, competitive racing.
Let's focus on getting this thread back on topic and stop the personal attacks and allegations. Bottom line is everyone wants a good, competitive race and have a good time at this event.

If not, how is that supporting Pro Mod/Pro Street racing? Doesn't Joe run nmca west? They allow 94mm turbos, this whole thread confuses the nuts outta me!

Yes, we've always planned on coming no matter what the rules were.
Yes, unless you were directly involved in the whole process I'm sure it's confusing and doesn't make a lot of sense. Like we said, there's more to the story and it has nothing to do with what has been brought up. It serves no positive purpose to take it any further and finger point towards anyone.

It has nothing to do with the Small Block Turbo's, by the way Seth went 6.04 at Fomosa last Weekend, Congrats. Like Mike said, there are underlying circumstances. One element is that one Party is a man of principles and when they change there are no principles if you can understand that concept. With that said I wish everyone Clean, Fast and Safe Runs.

I never said this class was going to be 100% NHRA Rules... No one other than NHRA can pull that off, it's their deal.... I did say we would base it off NHRA Weights and Max's (Turbo size, Cubic Inch, No Screws, etc) Which is exactly what we are going to do......
