1/8th Mile. It has been very successful in the Rocky Mountain Series. Very close racing, cars are not out of control, and much easier on parts.

I would be fine running 1/8 or 1/4 anywhere.
But my vote for THIS poll will have to be 1/8 due to the main facts that have been stated: CARNAGE - Vegas conditions are evil on parts (not everyone has deep pockets)
PARITY – with the level of cars that show up, 1/8 provides better parity for more cars......not all......but MORE.
BETTER RACING – during eliminations – although we all love bye runs - I would rather have a good race with someone in the other lane than have a bye run due to breakage.

For the record 1/4 mile. Its the true form of drag racing.
The reason that the Rocky Mountain Series 1/8 mile is successful, is because we have supported it no matter what. We didn't have a choice of 1/8 or 1/4.
When we blow our stuff up, its not because of the distance, its because we haven't figured out the tune up. Doug S is the man. He has figured it out. Oh and he's the quickest and fastest and doesn't tear up his stuff.
In any form of racing, the guys with the most money usually has the fastest stuff. But they don't always win. Most of us show up at the SCSN and know we have no chance of winning, but we're there for the experience and to compete against the best. If I get beat by Doug, Mike M, or Billy G, it's all part of the experience, and motivates me to step up my game for the next time.
Just my .02, right or wrong
Kevin
